Fudge Tunnel: A Nottingham 3 piece with the classic “Hate Songs in E Minor” album. Guitarist/shouter Alex Newport formed Nailbomb with Max Cavelera from Sepultura/Soulfly. Intense, insanely loud and furiously good.
Clutch: Formerly a shouty hardcore band, they’ve turned into a groove-soaked, perfectly tuneful blues/rock outfit. Do not let these guys go unnoticed.
“Who Wants to Rock?” and “Pure Rock Fury” should be reason enough to listen to them
Cop Shoot Cop: 2 bass players, 1 guitarist, a trombone player, no drummer, 3 percussionists and attitude aplenty.
Biohazard: New York Hardcore at it’s finest.
Helmet: Big, loud, tight, angry, tuneful. Have many stop/start riffs with gaps in. Godlike.
White Zombie: B-movie horror rock. “La Sexorcisto, Devil Music Volume 1” is essential listening.
Rollins Band: Articulate, heavy, passionate music from Henry “hugs” Rollins.
So you don’t need Papa Roach, Limp Bizkit and other white-kids in shorts telling you how mean grown-ups can be.
But what do I know?
Past music has always been looked at, no matter how poor it was and i think that in the future people will do the same, hopefully with a postive outlook.
