Don't know about you, but I would like to see the next x box compatable with my present one, apparently thats not going to happen due to next x box having no hard drive among other things.

But that's still speculation. Until MS come out and say "We can confirm Xbox 2 will be Backwards Compatible with original Xbox games", we know nothing.

I've got more simpler requests for a next gen console;

1) Put a RGB scart lead in the box, not a crappy composite one, an RGB one. I've paid plenty for the console so they can at least but a decent cable in the box.

2) A free game in the box along with the demo disc. One game is not a great deal to ask for, is it?

3) Backwards compatible with previous system. BTW Xbox 2 will be compatible with Xbox titles, in OXM there was the quote from MS when a journalist suggested there would be no backward compatibility. MS's reply was not very friendly, basically calling the guy a total moron who knew nothing.

Well the console could be the size of a room, or at least one of those sit in arcade cabnits.

That would be quite cool actually, even if it was just a chair. The console would be built into the chair, with the cd drive in one of the armrests and the controller sockets in the other. You could go much further than just a controller that shakes.

You idiot. Surround sound is only so because the speakers arrays are placed away from each other, not grouped together. Muuuuuuuuuuh.
