I thought this site could do with a thread about one of the best developers around, so here it is.

Except their not a crap developer. Their early games are usually not what is expected of them (as detailed) but them they come out with the kickass titles.

CBFD should be the first one, especially as they've got others to call on to get Live play as good as it can get.

Microsoft aren't going to let them release a duffer in CBFD.

Yes but a crap developer will never be able to make a good game no matter how much they refine it. Rare are good at making nice screenshots, it's game play where they tend to stumble a lot and without Nintendo's guiding hand I'll be intrested to see how they fair on their own. Add to that the fact that the majority of their original development team has upped ship and made Zoonami and also joined Free Radical and you gotta be questioning them a little.

Oh and about DKR. I heard they were stil making the game, just replacing Donkey Kong and his poe-faced friends with Sabreman and his equally poe-faced friends.

Goldeneye and Banjo received sequels so if DKR was actually any good there might have been a sequel.

Luckily it wasn't worth an attempt.

Apart from the fact that Rare were developing Donkey Kong Racing before being bought out?

and as far as 'unplayable rubbish' comparison's with the '64 I think KI once again fits the bill quite nicely.

Heh and I suppose Mickey's Speedway was a golden racer too?

DKR was an early experiment with no chance of a sequel, mainly due to the fact that it was shallow and uninteresting.
