Oh my word! If Goatboy's review friends were right, then well, err we have a lot of unhappy Americans! Ah well, they're too fat to get angry about it or do anything so I guess they won't bother warning us!

The trailers have started and look sensationally amateurish - I mean eeek! Ah well, I'm going to see it for sure and I imagine a lot of you will too.

But really, FORTY SEVEN MILLION? That's an incredible amount for the first week of showing - average USA ticket price would be around £3 I suppose (they get EVERYTHING cheaper than us) (even ford focus', or should that be Foci?) so have 16million USAians been subjected to Miss Jolie's jolly parade of spectacular stunts and 'woeful' acting? Or did they...like it?

If Goatboy gets word of this he'll fumigate at the toenails, and I don't quite know what that means so watch out!

Anyhoo, Angelin- Lara Croft is one of the most (in)famous games characters of all time, and has been realised (as in made real) into a promising young actress who may well have wrecked her career - but I doubt it.

So, who's going to watch it?

If they do force us to suffer another 2 movies I hope they will get a real actress, not just one with large Hooters

But then you also have to take into account the average butt size of your American cinema goer, and your British cinema goer. Maybe they need a higher proportion of two seats per person?

And before anyone says anything - it's a joke.......

I think you are trying to work out
If there are 250 Millon people in the USA (IF) then just 3.4% (8.5 Million people went to see Tomb Raider in it's first week. There are about 60 Million people in the UK, so if 3.4% of our population went to see Tom Raider in it's first week then just over 2 million people would seen it(1st week) or in money tems @ around £4 per ticket Tomb Raider would take an Impressive or Not £8 Million pounds in it's first week of release.

Hang on - 60million in the UK. 250million in the USA. 250/60 = 0.24

0.24 X 8.5million = 2.04million. Therefore it should be £8.16million!!

Strange...

Erm - 400,000 X £4 is £1.6m - pretty good.

The takings look huge, but they're not.

"Hah, that dog don't hunt"

Bye bye Tomb Raider, try harder and they might have come.

Shrek owns the box office, so will Cats and Dogs.

Mummy Returns opened huge and dropped off within 4 days.

Same here, will open big and then....

*tumbleweed blows through lobby*

Good news is, they signed up for another 2 in the series.

This aint over yet folks
