I used to say how it was and is a stupid idea of making some of the more longer running members more respect than other members (which quite frakly I don't think anyone deserves) however I now have another more relevant reason.
Does anyone really care whether they have regular or notable under their name? If so they must be very very sad people! When I read messages, although I take a look at who they are from, I don't look at their status and see if they're a notable or not. I don't care at all if they're notables or not.
No one here deserves any more respect than anyone else. Everyone should be treated the same, fairly and as equals, instead of being thought of as 'better'.
No member on this board is better than me. And I'm not saying I'm better than anyone else! Every member on this board has, or should have the same rights on this board (other than staff members who run the board).
If people want to sink so low as to vote for others in a 'notable' election, then that's fine by me. However why waste your time. People like me wont even notice if anyone else has 'notable' under their username.
Mum, that Goat was pickin' on me!!!
*slapped across the head for telling lies about goats!!*
Now that's scary.
Bonus you panty-waist, nobody's picking on you.
Er..except for just then.
hehe
There are

Subliminal message #2!!!
I do really feel picked on today!!
Alright I admit winning
> games is a bonus
Subliminal message #1!!!
There's nothing wrong with starting something fun on a discussion forum.
I was honoured to be voted as a notable, especially as I hadn't been on for a few days due to the birth of my second daughter.
I honestly believe that all of the notables are just that, notable.
Each one contributes to the site in a unique way, that makes these forums special.
That's not saying that those that aren't notables aren't special or appreciated, and I think that my own personal opinions of the posters here is a much better way to think of them!
There are many regulars that I have a lot of respect for, and likewise, some that I have none for.
It hasn't got in the way of the discussions and it gives the forums a bit more character.
The only difference is that you see each others names in different colours.
As for the picking no newbies business - that started long before the names were put in different colours.
If you don't like it then ignor it. It's not worth moaning about.
Carry on.
Instead of this arguing that has started just because I stated my opinion on the notable system!
