It will be a great day but I'm going to need some advice.
Now remember here that the X-box is my second console, those that know me know full well that no giant black box will take pride of place before my Nintendo machine
Why am I getting an X-box? Any normal Nintendo fan would answer "RARE". It is slightly true, although I don't like Grabbed by the Gholies and Kameo reminds me of Starfox too much. I would not get an X-box if Conker was not being released next year for the machine. The other reason is that I REALLY enjoy First Person shooters and so naturally an X-box is a good choice.
But you have to remember I'm slowly, and I mean slowly, getting less and less time to play games. Because of which a LOT of games I'd normally buy in the run up to Christmas are getting ignored. Titles like Second Sight, a game that I'd normally snap up, is unlikely to be in my collection.
The Gamecube has a Christmas line up (believe it or not) and Paper Mario 2, Metroid Prime 2, Tales of Symphonia, Donkey Konga, Pikmin 2 and Animal Crossing are games that are essential to my collection. I will also get multi-format title Prince of Persia 2 for the Gamecube. Now for those that can't count that is 7 games. A lot of games to play during the Christmas period and (bar Donkey Konga) none of them are that short.
So the X-box, being the second console, will of course have less games bought for it. Halo 2 and Doom 3 being the only "essential buys" in my eyes. Silent Hill 4: The Room is VERY tempting although it looks like it'll eat up a lot of my time. Time I don't have. Also Pro Evo 4 looks essential.
Here's questions for you:
1: Bar Jet Set Radio: Future, what titles are essential from the X-box back catalogue. Before you all say Halo should I really get it when the second one is so close. Games like "Knights of the Old REpublic" and Morrowind seem a bit too "long" for me to give any time towards.
2: Dead or Alive 3? Or should I wait for the Dead or Alive 2 remake.
3: Gimmie one good reason why I should buy Grabbed by the Gholies?
4: What the hell is Fable? Is it likely to be very long?
5: I know Pro Evolution Soccer is supposed to be the best football series ever but is it THAT much better than the FIFA series. If so... why?
6: LIVE, go on tell me how to sort it out and sell it to me.
7: Bar Fable, Halo 2 and Doom 3 what ESSENTIAL games (that aren't avalible on the gamecube) should I consider getting this Christmas?
8: Galleon, how good is it? Again is it very long?
9: Is Project Gotham that different from Project Gotham 2?
10: Any other advice, suggestions are much appreciated.

Green was limited edition. Not availble now.
Unless you're going to try to tell me that green is the standard colour in which case I'd gladly show you by dropping my giant black box on your skull - Notable Hunter style.

Green, actually.
Eh?
Good god. Well, if you have the money, it's well worth getting, as long as you are serious about what you are doing. The Xbox offers a lot if you accept it's merits and take the plunge into the world of the black-beast.
I understand what you mean about not having time for games anymore, I've been so busy recently with social aspects and work and what not, I can barely squeeze in the odd 30 minutes here and there. But there again, games last longer that way, remember :P

Depends what type of game you really enjoy. I reccomend these for the quirky aspect that you might like: -
Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee - Amazing.
Blinx: Time Sweeper (Many people think it's crap, I'd say its worth it, ONLY if you can pick it up on the cheap)
Splinter Cell
Phantom Crash (Excellent Game!)
Moto GP: UTR
Max Payne
Grand Theft Auto: Double Pack
Halo (Obviously)
Freedom Fighters
SSX Tricky
Project Gotham Racing 2
Midtown Madness 3
There's loads more I could reccomend, but a lot of them are very "long winded" if you understand.
> 2: Dead or Alive 3? Or should I wait for the Dead or Alive 2 remake.
You may as well get it, it's going very cheap now.
> 3: Gimmie one good reason why I should buy Grabbed by the Gholies?
You shouldn't, There's a reason.
> 4: What the hell is Fable? Is it likely to be very long?
Massively hyped RPG, I could explain to you, but I haven't got the time. It looks and sounds amazing, I just hope it lives up to the hype.

Star Wars: Battlefront
Forza Motorsport
Blinx 2
There's a lot of racing games coming out, It depends if you like them or not...

Better graphics, LIVE enabled, lots of new features etc
Does my head in.

Good grief, not even close!
KOTOR is 20 hours long if you're lucky, the last section is utter toss and it completely lacks anything...special.
It's a great game, but compared to RPGs like Skies and Tales of Symphonia is not even worth looking at.
*cries*

I wouldn't "fall" if Nintendo hadn't sold RARE and conker along with them.
It'd be like my Dreamcast, a console to have a few quick laughs on but not for serious gameplay.
Nintendo all the way.
