Following the recent news announcement ( http://uk.special.reserve.co.uk/n_3205-news.html ) that the Nintendo DS will be launched with several different colours in mind, which ones would you like to see?

Oh, and what do you folk think this mysterious port is for, at the back of the DS? Initially I think its probably something to do with revolution, but when Nintendo go on about this third pillar business I suppose its impossible to tell.

That is how its powered, though, and there is a seperate port to account for charging I'd expect. That's no secret.

Again, yeah, what I thought.

It'll probably be a big anti climax though, like a second headphone socket, or something.

I have come to the conclusion that it might be used to connect to a PC and exchange media like most phones do. Pictures, videos, save data, hey, maybe even new levels (though very unlikely).

I like the wings idea muchly.

I like the fact that the DS will get a simultanious worldwide release. That is all I have to say on the matter.

No, like with the normal GBA's they use the connectivity port for anything add-on.

hey like with the GBA SP what if they mystery port is a charger port so there won't be any normal battery usage to save money and energy.

Maybe it'll be used as connection to the Revolution - though that's a big 'maybe' as it should be another year and a half before we see that.

A remote is a good idea - with a built in FM tuner.
It could be for connection to another device, be it PC, Revolution or something else.

Whatever it is it's bound to be good.

Perhaps for connection to that camera thing that's in development.

The port is located suspiciously close to the headphone socket.... perhaps a remote or something will be implemented? When you compare that design to any other product using the same idea (MD player, iPod etc) then it's quite possible.

Also, I welcome different colours.

It should be silver, black, and white.

The port is clearly for you to attach some small wings, so that the DS can fly around after you, and away from the hands of potential thieves.
