And theres nothing you can do about it!
Mwahahahaha!!!
[S]Blame Ninty for not releasing any decent games in the summer, they dont realise during the 6 weeks Holidays kids like me dont have LIVES!
I'd hardly call that a slow year.
You are ditching Nintendo for not releasing that many big games?
Are you ditching Microsoft and Sony as well????
The biggest selling games on all 3 platforms have been third party titles. Sonic Heroes (SEGA), James Bond: Everything or Nothing (EA) and Spiderman 2 (Activision) have been the biggest selling games on ALL systems this year. No exclusive title can touch them. The three REALLY big giants in gaming released them.
Microsoft started with a big release, the GTA Double Pack but then that was also released for the PS2. No Team Ninja, Bungie or Rare game at all so far.
Sony??? Well I can't ignore Final Fantasy x-2 but other than that what have we seen this year?
Nintendo are of course different, they get less third party support so need more exclusive software. And you know what we got that. You may not see it this way but if you cast your feeble minds back a few months we were whinging at the games released around easter. Nintendo have only released themselves Pacman Vs., Kirby's Air Ride, Mario Golf and the frankly massive Pokemon Colloseum.
But Nintendo also got some MASSIVE third party exclusive with Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles and Metal Gear Solid: The Twin snakes.... and the legendary Harvest Moon. Okay by this time last year we got Zelda, Metroid Prime and Resident Evil 0. But on terms of scale and popularity a Final Fantasy title, Metal Gear Solid title and Pokemon title is equally as successful. Harvest Moon has been the real treat of the year so far.
In comparison to 2003 Nintendo's first half a year has been slow... but I'm sorry the same goes for Sony and Microsoft. Sony made a big deal about releasing a demo for christs sake!
All 3 companies are relying on a small release schedule, third party games mainly to get them rolling until Christmas. If you are too shortsighted to last the summer drought then shame on you.
Nintendo are filling up their release schedule and this Christmas will be busier than the last for big name games. Donkey Konga, sounds strange but it's Donkey Kong. Pikmin 2 and Metroid Prime 2 are AAA titles, 2 system selling games. Paper Mario 2, a fantastic looking gem, could prove to be the same. Of course for the Nintendo fans we are getting Wario Ware, Tales of Symphonia, Animal Crossing etc...
Sony have GT and GTA... Microsoft have Halo 2 and Fable.
All 3 consoles have had a slow year with the promise of a big Christmas.
All of them.
So criticise Nintendo all you want. But it is the industry as a whole that has been slow not just Nintendo.
Spiderman 2, Sonic Heroes and Everything or Nothing, 3 average games ALL of them are the top 3 sellers for each console so far this year.
Speaks for itself.
Tilt if you've never played Paper Mario then don't comment, I don't like RPG's either and I loved Paper Mario, much like I loved Pokemon.
Why don't you try completing some games?

Wha? Awww.
There is a massive backlog of quality games. Oh dear, they're not good enough. Oh well.
I can't change your minds.
Xbox, PS2 and Cube have all had sh*te summers, like all consoles do - only now are things picking up. Still, TOS, MP2 (look people, this is the sequel to Metroid Prime. So it is slightly big) and Pikmin 2 are all quality games that aren't too weird to make you look uncool, are all coming out. Fable, Halo 2, Star Wars: Battlefront and Burnout 3 on Xbox as well, and I'm sorted.
The GameCube has around twenty worthwhile, exclusive games available already and then a load of brilliant third-party ones. So this year has been rather slow - you can't possibly tell me you've exhausted the Cube's back catalogue.
Get some older games. They're cheap, excellent and worth it.
why have there been no game realeses all year? and the run up to christmas looks poor aswell, as some one said, the only 2 games worth a cube at the mo are resi 4 and new zelda and they wont be out for another year or more.
