"Our main objective is still to continue supporting the Dreamcast, European owners can expect at least 50 more titles before March 2002"

That's the word 'Expect' that sums everything up. Sega all ask us to expect. So we do, we expect and then we become disappointed because they do not fullfill there promise. Sega, you have deserted us. It's time to join you.

>Everyone - keep your Dreamcast, but you will have to get a new console to experience the future cream of Sega<

This is a more concise post about mine, and your disappointments with Sega.

Broken Promises. As already mentioned, many words and posts ago, Sega decided to indeed let their unique offering (their words not mine) 'fail' in a sense of retail and production. Dreamcast has sold out in Japan. Not much time left to get one over here either, and yes I recommend them, but no I am not at all happy - further still, at Sega and their attitude.

SEGA : AGES

Sega take ages to release games - it's all in their name. Everything worth buying has been delayed, even the console. Oh well, it happens.

Sega promise titles that don't appear:

Half Life - THE most highly anticipated 'Dreamcast game' ever since Shenmue was released. Patronisingly delayed, by almost 7 months now, it looks as though Half Life won't ever make it to the Dreamcast.

As I type, I listen to Eric Clapton "Knocking on Heaven's door". How ironic.

Black and White - where did it go? LionHead weren't brave enough. This is not the reason I paid £189.99 for my console.

Ok, blah, blah, blah. I've complained enough, no I haven't.

Sega have screwed up Crazy Taxi 2. I'll tell you why.

Up until yesterday, I was looking forward so much to the release of Crazy Taxi 2 - here a game, with new features, moves and most importantly, the promise of 4 player simultaneous play. Yes you can pick up more than one passenger, woohoo!

No, there is no multiplayer.

Essentially, CT2 is CT. Any point in getting it?

To see how I am feeling, please refer to my tagline.

Be vocal.

No online play in MSR, Sega Rally, Daytona USA 2001. Now this.

I am most displeased, saddened and ashamed of Sega. Yes they make great games, but no, they don't give a damn about us.

>Plays Michael Jackson song of which I cannot remember title<

Ode to Sega?

Roll on the GBA and GameCube.

Heres some more great online news!

The online play for Unreal Tournament for the DC has been scrapped, even though we were promiced * player matches online!

For all the great stuff Sega have done they are now treating us like dirt.

You owe us a aplology!

I feel cheated by SEGA
I feel let down by SEGA
So generally I am p*ssed off by SEGA

How long were we expected to put up with the broken promises and hashed up games.

Don't get me wrong, some games were brilliant and SEGA came up with some good ideas, but where are Half Life, Black and White and Head Hunter. They have all been delayed so many times.

Also such a fuss was made about Phantasy Star Online, whe it really is poor.

Now I have as theory, I feel that SEGA spend s little on their Advertising that they have shot themselves in the foot, and have failed their customers.

Ihave a GBA pre ordered for friday, and plan to buy a game cube so SEGA can take a running jump

I think the major mistake Sega made was to do with the online games.

There were none at the launch. Just as some big ones were about to com eout, Daytona, UT etc, they scrapped production and so publsihers knew they wouldn't make their money back and so they couldnt afford to set up the servers needed for the online side.

The only reason the US and Japan get the online play is that they pay for it. We dont. So the money wasnt there to set it all up.

ODM has said there probably won't be any more cover discs, and it will be 2 months until the next mag comes out.

Do they know something we don't?

At least they went down fighting it is all SEGA's fault though releasing a too powerful console to get to the top.

Not being able to create games to its full potential and now it is dying have they been able to really make some games that kick @ss!

Sega aren't that much
> in the duff!

Asuming you mean in debt/loss etc, then well, they are, but they'll be out of it within a year, so they say. I am glad Crazy Taxi has sold well on the PS2 because it's a great game, and number 2 in the charts is much higher than when it was on the Dreamcast, but hey I'm not going to let Sega off lightly.

Dodgy cases...

Sega aren't that much in the duff!

Anyway they'll be making huge profits soon when they release their workings with Ninendo on the Gamecube! That game will be the one that changes Gaming history! The one that would never be created!

The game that Nintendo and Sega WORKED TOGETHER on......

Spider - I can understand WHY you want to sell. But it's a bit late - the Dreamcast isn't going down any further than it is now. In fact, it's only going to go up. Sega dropped it, from the mountain, now it's clawing back up.

You won't get much for your Dreamcast mate. You would be better off keeping it and getting another console as well. Not instead. You won't forgive yourself, honestly. I almost sold up, but realised I just couldn't!
