Why did no one try harder to make me play Beyond Good and Evil sooner.

I was more referring to the sterility - like that many Playstation 2 and Xbox games have - moreso PS2.
You know some games they seem to give the impression that there is air in game. I don't get that from Beyond Good and Evil

If it doesn't get a sequel, I will never get the ending totally. Which will annoy me.
And the thing after the credits *won't spoil* will never be resolved.

If anything I'd say some of the surfaces are a little too reflective... clashing with the rest of scene.
But apart from that I'd say it's great.
Just not really enough to do/explore.
Hilly's is great, but there's only one small town square to visit, but all the characters have a life to them, and nearly all of them change with the story.
I still say that the missions are slightly mediocre though.
But let's focus on the good.
Oh, and some of the best game music ever.
Probably better than Jet Force Gemini.
But apart from that I'd say it's great.
Just not really enough to do/explore.

I've started playing BG&E now - my only criticism at this point is that it looks like a PS2 game.

That was something they said back in January, that that was the plan. Nothing since, especially after it sold so bad. Still. Cling onto that if you want, I'm not raising my hopes until I hear solid proof. I remember the interview saying Skies of Arcadia 2 was in the planning stages back in 2001, and that never appeared >.<

You could always get it on the Zelda collectors edition disc. Or you could just buy the N64 version...
