How utterly fantastic, it has re-newed my love for games...
Finally finished Resident Evil 0 last night.
I got everything except 1 MDisk - I assumed it would be the IRIS report from your mono broadcast, but you never get a chance to go and get it.
Again, it seems too sterile. Don't get me wrong, I'm enjoying the game so far, moreso than many others. But the sterility does bug me a little.
I think the contrasting reality and fantasy gives the game a rather unique appeal.
Basically, the over-reflective water contrasts with the more pastel look with the land, making the whole thing look a bit artificial.
Infact, looking closely, the plants do have that little swaying motion that does give the game that little bit of life... just the water is a different style to the land - it would be beautiful in a more realistic game.
Finding something really negative about the game?
Maybe that it's a mini adventure and that just messing around Hillys really over shadows the missions, although playing through the second time, the missions are a bit better than I remember.
Where are you now?
Or maybe I'll find something really negative about it.
Despite being full of life, Hyllis might as well been in a vacuum, seeing how sterile it is. But yeah, the character models are great.

I'd say it's the other way around.
Outside, there's loads of atmosphere - the planet is beautiful, especially at night when you see the massive turtle jumping out of the water.
The inside sections - when there's nothing going on - are just boring. It could have been amazing if the same level of imagination they put into the characters went into the envronment.
It's a bit different indoors, a bit more atmosphere but outside, like you said.
I don't know how to explain it...I know what I mean, just can't quite put it into words.
But although there was a lack of organic movement, like swaying grass/trees and the like, there was a lot of life in the characters.
Almost to a Majora's Mask extent.
