The PC 'version', shipped after the console version (which is another discussion altogether), doesn't seem, at the moment to be 'hackable' - and is quite unpredictable in its levelling
Hacking seems quite horrific at times. I've only encountered 2 hackers, but its almost certainly possible that i've encountered more but not realised.
Aim bots and wall hack jerks ruin this game. There was the presitage hack that has some variants eliminated, but its still doable if very risky.

Not really certain about the relevance of this pete, but some posts seem to indicate that MW2 can be 'hacked' to improve levels etc.
This doesn't seem to be the case within the 'original gaming genre' ie the PC.
The PC 'version', shipped after the console version (which is another discussion altogether), doesn't seem, at the moment to be 'hackable' - and is quite unpredictable in its levelling
- ie I've achieved a level 18, but I've also achieved a Staff Sergeant level and numerous weapons and enhancements - a friend at work, using the XBox, has achieved level 30 and hasn't unlocked any of the 'achievements' or weapons or enhancements that I have.
On comparison today, I've actually achieved more than he has.....odd:-)

I think I may have to use those tips as well. Not been on it for a few weeks as been hooked with Ezio on Assassins Creed 2. Live Subscription runs out on Sunday, so must remember to buy a card today!

Sadly, i'm still on CoD 4, but i'd like to join the thread :D MY current loadout at level 31 (yes, i haven't played it much) is the RPD with a grip. It's brutal.
Finally got my xbox live connection sorted properly now (got a router) so i'm working to level 40 so i can use the P90 :)

Me and a friend played last nigth after a few beers, needless to say it didnt go very well lol
Need to put some more time into it, want to get prestiege, really hate all the people who have hacked their scores etc to be top of the list and stuff like that, it is so pointless and everyone knows they probably suck at the game if they have to do that. And they have no life!

thats hard. There are too many aim bots, hackerz (even with patches!) and you need to practice like hell.
One thing i can only think of is practice the maps, know where the good spots are and just watch them. Everytime you get killed, see where it came from and if its a common occurance, use that position for yourself.
You really need to level up to get anywhere in this game.
failing that. Camp somewhere and blow them away. Run away and such.
Being an utter jerk is important for surival. Use any holes and gaps to shoot at enemies whilst minimizing exposure. Oh and going prone helps when things get desperate.
My load out works pretty well. Does anyone else have a personal load out they would like to share? My one is generally low level stuff like my scar and ump45

If anyone wants to write a guide on how to stop sucking at MW 2 I would appreciate it ! :)
i've heard rumours that the latest update makes claymores and the SCAR ineffective to the point that no dmg is done. A bit annoying espeically i use those 2 items alot. Time to find a new weapon i think.
Yeah, the nuke perk (sadly not perky nudes :p) comes after a 25 kill killstreak if you have it selected. It's an instant win for your team. Worth having I guess if you can actually regularly get that kinda kill streak!
