Obviously not suggesting that is the case, for that would be cynical and world-weary of me.
I mean, I haven't seen anyone complain and moan about "just wanting to win a (game/film)aday" and then...how odd...they win.
And I'm sure Rakuga and Blackhole would agree that I would be overly cynical to suggest such a thing.
Nor would I suggest that the DVD forum has seen a massive increase in posters lately because someone claimed it was easier than the gameaday win.
Nor would I ever highlight that the opening of the most recent win about Trekkies being geeks and Star Wars fans being normal and well adjusted people has been raised here several times, almost word for word by...say...oh I dont know...me? (Star Trek Vs Star Wars - 23/3/01):
"Star Wars Fans: Intelligent, well balanced individuals that remember their childhood being defined by those words scrolling up the screen and being entranced forever. (apart from the Phantom Menace, but not even Star Wars was Star Wars when it 1st came out).
Star Trek Fans: Unhinged, Net obsessed, late-teens to mid-twenties white geekboys unable to form relationships with the opposite sex so they debate who would win? Kirk or the Bald One.
There are marginal fans of each film, those that watch them when they’re on at Xmas and have the videos, and those that dress-up like the characters and attend conventions to get autographs from minor characters that nobody remembers.
However, if you go to conventions dressed like them:
You ARE sad
If you learn Klingon:
You ARE sad
If you buy those technical blueprint books:
You ARE sad
May I suggest you watch Galaxy Quest to see just how seriously people take hardcore sci-fi fans"
And before people start moaning, I've said it before and I'll say it again, I don't care whether I win or not, I have done in the past without meaning to and I'll post long after any offer of free stuff has gone.
So..er..."blah blah blah, it's not fair, I post loads and loads and never seem to win anything...blah blah blah"
Cheers, I'll have The Erotic Witch Project.
Right if this wins I'm quitting Filmaday i've only been here 60 days and only have won 2 films can you believe this I wrote a great review about Romeo must Die I did and it didn't win the guy who won filmaday that day did a really good review but it wasnt as good as mine despite the fact I failed to put any full stops in it but its content thats important not grammar so you see if you were to read this message out you would see the utter skill it took to do this I'm also annoyed pb keeps winning filmaday because hes been here longer than me and always has more interesting things to say then myself its so unfair i try my hardest but its sometimes not good enough as im not the best at writing reviews and message boards posts but i must say its very unfair that people that have been on this site longer (and have contributed much more and better than others) keep winning filmaday shouldnt I who have just come to the site to win one film i need then leave won it??!!
.. The next day Rakuga finds he has won filmaday for a review he doesn't remember posting.
STOP COMPLAINING! THE PEOPLE THAT WIN FILMADAY DESERVE TOO! If you read their posts/reviews you can see they have either researched it well or written it very well and it certainly has taken them along time to do! Just keep trying your best and don't complain and if you really want to win. And I mean REALLY just keep trying you will suceed.
Don't complain at all if you think you should have won. I've been quite pleased with some of my posts and disappointed if someone else one rather than myself but it doesn't matter at the end of the day this is a competition and the winner chosen deserved to win the prize he did.
So don't complain you will only get slack from the board.
Thankyou for reading (and no that isn't my normal style of writing - use full stops they are great!)
. << full stop very important
