Every time Nintendo release a console, there's always somehting special about it's controller. Ninty introduced the D-pad, shoulder buttons rumble packs (Analogue sticks were first present on the Saturn :). So what next?

Well, a few months ago Niny patented/copywrited the names "Tilt pack", "motion pack" and a few others. So what does this mean? Will there be the chance of Ninty allowing full 3D movement in games? MAybe you could navigate forwards backwards left and right by tilting the controller, openate horizontal position with the analogue stick, and then be left with lots of free buttons! That would be the perfect interface for a NiGHTS sequal if ever I saw one :).

How about being about to tilt the gun upwards and downwards in PD 2 by tilting the controller (and maybe holding downa button at the same time), rather than using the up and down "C buttons". I know that it would improve my acuracy infinitely if implemented well!

The possibilities are endless!

I think that you may find that Microsoft have already released a motion sensitive gamepad for the PC, not so innovative now!! And also an analougue D-pad!!

Problem.. when u tilt the gun u can't aim properly.

Far better would be somethig like Sega's gun... u have a d-pad at the back that is easy to use with your thumb... surely the whole point of this gun was to allow what you have described... so why not???

I think someone should incorporate "Tilt" technology into a lightgun. This could allow you to move in a Lightgun, like in ResidentEvil:Survivor but less of a pain.

This technology could merge the FirstPersonShooter and LightGun genres.

Hopefully Namco will Launch a new Gun when the Gamecube and X-box come out. Hopefully the Gun will work on all major systems.

I believe the 'tilt pack' is something for the GBA.

Diddy Kong Pilot will allow you to tilt your GBA to steer the plane.

I'm not sure if something similar would work for a console. With the GBA you have to hold it a certain way, just to see the screen, but people hold pads in all manner of funny ways, so they might be in a position in which they are constantly aiming to the left, or steering to the right, rather than central.
