Hello there.

Me and my chum Venombyte were just chatting about the closure of the last story. We've come to the conclusion that we need more writers... and since there are a lot more people on here than there were half a year ago, I think it's time to try and encourage more people to write.

So, we've come up with the idea of a short story competition... it's a nice little idea, that should get more people writing, so we have a good idea of their talents.

This also applies to the CURRENT writers. I.E. Me, Pb, Meka, Ant... so on. You can write a story too.

If you're interested in this, please state so below/above, so I've got a good idea of figures. Then... I'll think of what you can write about. :0)

If you want to have the story on the page, with voice acting and animations to accompany it, use a Soc-5 compression engine, which stores your sounds as MP3 retraceable format, your graphics as patch reframed animations, and anything else in a compressed-file format.

That way, when you click on a story title, the page loads, everything decompresses at once, and you hear the voices read the story and and animations all work in concert. It can even be linked to the speed at which the words scroll up the screen, so everything is synch-ed perfectly.

To get the Soc-5, send a cheque for £25 to FM.
