We all know that this 'Class System' doesn't work. we get Newbies spamming to become regulras because the think it will gain them some more respect. Which it doesn't. But that doesn't stop them. Now with the added "Regular Only Forum" Newbies are going to spam more and more just so they can have access to that particular forum.

Well instead of having the Class System based on number of posts and words why not have it based on how long they've actually been here??!?!?! It'll stop the spamming to become a regular as that won't have anything to do with it. Let's say you had to be here for 75 days to become a Regular.

I think this would work much better than the current system. Anyway, let me know what you think!

yes but that still gives them an incentive to spam. So they can get their word count up.

Maybe we should all join hands and sing a song in a rhythmic mesmorisation, or maybe just limit the amount of topics to Two or Three per day,

I think you miss my point because i do not make may post then i should not be a regular which i would become under RBS's idea.

I think if you remove the post number from the equation but rather go for a minimun of 125 days and say 40,000 words should make the hurdle high enough to make the acheivement of Regular something worthwhile.

Good idea but you'd have to up the amount of time that you've been here, to prevent from them STILL spamming to get the number of posts part of their 'Qualification' then all they'd have to do is wait for a bit. If you put the time up to about 125 then over that time, if they at a steady and sensible rate, then they will easily have got enough posts over the course of time it'd take to become a Regular.

You see what I mean? No... oh... well... tough.

I do not think a qualification on either time or number of posts on its own but rather a combination of both. If you look at my stats i have been on this forum for a long time but i do not make a lot of posts, rather read others and find out a lot of interesting information. To make me a regular becuase I have been here a long time is just as unfair.

If you are to stay with this divide then a joint qualification based on time and posting may improve the situation.

Hmm Spider when I was Spider II.2 you were the only person that worked out tht it was me. Everyone else thought that I was you. Know that I have pretended to be the Devil you have not sussed me. Talk about a split personality. One second you are smart (mildly) and the next you are as smart as a dead chimpanzee.

(;o( Unhappy you are still here.

Yes. This is better than the amount of posts, I think.

I think either it should be amount of days, or quality of posts. Amount of days is by far easier though.
