Every day, you could come on, and there would be... six, perhaps five new topics. Each of them would be excellently written, discussing new points. It was interesting to see what people had thought of, and it would be fun to argue the points.

That was six months ago. Since then, what's happened?

About 20 new topics are created every day, about two of which are worth reading. Regulars are dropping like flies, and some of the most respected of people on the forum don't come on any more.

In my opinion, the legacy of the FOG's have fallen. We do little more than chat pointlessly now. Even the stories, which have kept me here for the past six months, seem pointless these days.

What used to be a cozy forum, with people coming on and winning games, then leaving, with the handful of regulars who were always guaranteed to turn up every night, has turned into a mass of people, all chattering with no thought for entertainment, with only a good one or two topics every day.

As I join the likes of ssxpro, Wookiee Monster, FantasyMeister, Sniper, by leaving, I make this topic not so I can flatter myself with people telling me not to leave, but I make this topic because it's important that the FOG does not get any more worse than it already is. I hope that by showing people are not interested in the FOG these days, I hope that something can be done to bring the quality of the forums back to the greatness that it once was.

But... I shall not be handing in my resignation as a notable. Make what you want of this, but I have my reasons.

Tony, Sheepy, The Game, Rasta, Edgy, Turbo, Meka, Pb, er-no, Sniper, Venombyte, Rav, Ant, Darkness, Ali, Mouldy Cheese, De Sol, Dan_uk, M16, webmaster, FM, MWA, Goatboy, Wookiee, ssxpro, Shanksy, Reaper, Terry S, Iguana, Bonus, Fogmaster, Your Honour... I bid you all farewell. I hope you can bring to this forum what seems to be missing today.

Too many newbies is the problem, we used to have a bunch of people which would come on almost everyday and have great fun.
But now the newbies hardly know what is a new post, they haven't been around like us so they get really boring.
No offence but newbies spoiled it for me Grix etc.

Your just too unfunny unlike Grix.

As I put, leaving seems pointless. Why not stay and try and improve the forums??

Also, everyone's overreacting. The forum's had lots of new people-just let it settle.

Also, leave tony alone! He's had our interests at heart since day one.

I knew Grix was thinking about leaving and I thought it was inevitable. I'm sad to see him go, but I can see where he's coming from! In December I joined these forums and I agree, they were great. They were at it's best then, definitely. But what goes up must come down. I hope Tony takes note of this situation as it has got way way WAY out of hand. It has become a serious issue now. There are too many newbies on this forum all cluttering up the Prime Topics Forum with idle banter. Hell, even some regulars do it! But now with the added incentive of the 'Class System' if you will, it's just ridiculous. The forums(s) are overcrowded and something HAS to be done.

I'll finish by saying that Grix I will certainly miss your witty comments and great additions to the stories. The mightiest FOGGER has fallen.

Dan, I'll miss you too! I've always regarded you as a friend on these forums. I hope you return soon.

SR: The fact that Grix is leaving must alert you to the situation. Please do something about it.

I can't think of one of these

I honestly can't think of

Another thing - this

This is quite ridiculous. Why do you think I split the FOG? Suggestions are considered but we can only take them up if they are practical. To "rate" every contributor, for example, is not practical.

I asked for your support to keep the Prime Topics forum clean and that's what we need to restore it to being a "Prime Forum"

Over the years I've become very jaded after many bad experiences with customer services, you have bucked the trend. Polite and efficient from the Freeola team, well done to all involved.
