You see when the N64 games were first revealed Nintendo wanted all the spotlight... they had peoples attention, not Konami or Activision! It was all Nintendo, Nintendo, Nintendo...
Thankfully those days are coming to a close and us 'Nintys' can rest assured that Nintendo will offer the same fantastic gameplay through a much better console... and although Nintendo will still want the main focus to be on their games, such as PIKMIN, Luigi's Mansion and Wave Race, they will have to allow the hoards of top games from 3rd party developers to take thier place on the podium.
But Nintendo won't lose all gamer focus. Franchises like Mario and Pokémon will continue to hold thier own. But with other great games being added to the library Nintendo might need to take a bigger bite of that humble pie to realise that gamers want lots of games from all different developers, and as good as they are it won't be JUST the Nintendo franchises that take the Gamecubes of the shelves next spring.
Konami, Activision, EA, You name them... they'll all play a part in the arguably inevitable success of the Gamecube! It's just a good job that Nintendo aren't so bloody stubborn anymore. Someone must have made Yamauchi a very happy man for him to be this 'nice'!
Thanks for Reading
And if you see any faults - keep them to yourself!!!!
Game... ^_^
The amount of support from 3rd party companies that the Gamecube has is sure to make it more successful, as not only does Nintendo have it's own band of successful franchises, it will also have others, such as Sega's Sonic, or Capcoms Resident Evil games.
Those that are not exclusively Nintendo fans will now have plenty of other titles to choose from too, making the console a more viable option for a larger number of gamers.
Still that said, just how many great games can you have at any one time? It seems to me that the Gamecube is going to have so many 'must have' titles, that you won't be able to have them all in the average collection.
Mind you, that's a nice problem to have. :-)
Anyway, great post!

If all else fails I can do some print-screens from my emulated version and send them to you via e-mail or Messenger.
Game
Maybe its just Goldeneye.
Do you know any sites with screenshots and/or clips from the game?
I can't wait to get a Gamecube, it WILL be amazing, but first I want to experience the GBA. Have you seen / played Dodge Ball Advance?! It is amazing, the gameplay is great and although it might not be quite on par with TH: PS2 graphically, the gameplay is exactly on par!
To get a better idea, read my review, Nintendo certainly are gonna have one hell of a dance!
Game
(Tries not to imagine Yamauchi in a pink Tu-Tu... Ulgh!)
lol
Yamauchi threatened to get rid of the GameCube if it wasn't a big success at E3!
I think the marketing crew put their biggest effort into it yet!
