It's hit me hard too like you I was in stitches yesterday about 11AM watching him on Smackdown in his match with Mr Kennedy screwing him out of the place on the Survivor Series Smackdown team with the fake chair shot and now he's passed away.

Wha??

Thats a real shock. I honestly cannot believe it. Its real strange to see him on Smackdown just this week and now find out that he's dead.

A truly great wrestler, gone just like that.

This really does suck...

R.I.P Eddie.

That's awful. It's seriously hit me quite hard. I was only watching him earlier today.

My prayers are with Eddie's family.

This is a real shock. As Congers mentioned, Eddie has had problems in the past, but we all thought he had beaten them.

Eddie has provided all of us with great wrestling and entertainment over the years dating right back to his WCW days. He will be truly missed by fans and friends alike. It's hard to write a tribute to such a great wrestler after receiving this shocking news.
Eddie, you were one of the true greats, thanks for the memories. Farewell.

My sentiments exactly. He had his demons and overcame them to win his businesses greatest prize of all - The World Championship.

I only posted yesterday how his match finish against Kennedy on this weeks Smackdown had me in tears of laughter.

He will be sadly missed.

Well, whether there were substances involved or not, we've lost a true ring great. His sad passing will leave not only a massive hole in the Smackdown roster, but also one in his family. My heart goes out to Vicky and Eddie's 2 daughters who will now grow up without their 'Papi'.

Eddie has had well documented problems in his personal life, which he had seemingly overcome. I'll never forget the memories Eddie has given me personally as one of the best all-round perfomers of his generation. There aren't many on the current WWE roster that I'd seriously shed a tear for in their passing, but Eddie is amongst the few.

God rest your soul Eddie.

Let me correct myself instead of editing. I didn't mean cocaine or any other illegal substance what I was referring to was something like painkillers like you say.

A favourite drug with wrestlers is a painkiller that relaxes you muscles to relieve the pain that wrestling ultimately inflicts upon their bodies. Unfortunately taking too much relaxes a major muscle in your body - your heart. Do this and it stops.

Wrestlers that have fallen to this in the past include Barry Windham and Rad Radford and unfortunately Eddie Guerrero may be another name to add to the list.

Some people are speculating maybe he took too many painkillers after the chairshot from Ken Kennedy on Smackdown (although I don't expect it's a real injury anyway). I dunno though.

Jeez that's a shocker yet another wrestler cut down in the prime of his life.

Unfortunately it is true as it's the main page on WWE.com I really can't believe it.

I wonder what the cause was? I don't like to talk ill of the dead but my bet is a substance is involved.
