Portugal are a better team than the Spanish, and they proved that at Euro 2004. They'll go further.

And Cicinho scored? Awesome. He's the man. Confederations Cup hero.

I was just thinking who the fook is fred when i first saw his name amongst the scorers. You see your typically brazilian names like Adriano, Kaka, Cicinho etc on the scoresheet and then up pops fred :D

The amount of quality sides in the World Cup, I think makes it unlikely that you'll ever get a real outsider winning it. A dark horse would have to emerge out of England, Italy, Holland, France, Brazil, Argentina, Spain and Germany and that's unlikely.

They could indeed, but I don't think that there's a "good chance" teams like Greece will do well this time.

Although I don't rate Spain in the same way I would rate a team like Greece, I don't think they're going to win in Germany. Obviously I'd love to be proven wrong, but Spain always seem to be one of the great underachievers. And I think they'll underachieve yet again in Germany.

If you use that as an example then you're pretty much saying that anyone could win the tournament.
