I'm not sure I could manage without an offensive midfielder. Although maybe you were using Zidane as one. My Argentina formation was:

Or something like that anyway. I think I had Cambiasso as a defensive midfielder, then changed him to central at some point. Can't remember what the score was. As I recall I was, in the words of Andy Townshend, "a little bit all over the place."

ah, back in the days of pro evo 3 i used a 3-4-3 system.
I used to be alot more all out attack in those days.
my system was somthing like this

On 5 i just use juventus with thier standard 4-4-2 slightly modified, Chelini in for zebina, miccoli in for vieira/emerson (depending upon form), and mutu and trezeguet as first choice up front but dependent again dependent on form.
Only signed Montella for my master league team so far, and managed to end up with potter from liverpool in some swap deal where i swear i was conned...

Yes, all of those. And he had my Grandma. But most of all I hate him for his un-fair-play-ness. Acting as if Stevie Stevie Stevie (x13) Gerrard had hit him in the face against Liverpool, blatant shirt tugging (he was actually being dragged along the ground in one match), dirty tackling, plus he always gets lucky with goals. Plays poorly for 60 minutes then a lucky deflection makes him look good. Plus, as I say, he's very very ugly. I hate the man. I still use him with England though.

Hargreaves is good, but King is far better defensively. When defending a corner, who would you rather have there? King by a mile. Plus he's probably one of the best defenders in the world at tracking back, catching up with the striker in possession, and making a clean tackle before the striker can take the shot. Unfortunately, he isn't very good on Pro Evo. Hargreaves is probably better going forward though. But King is also good at long passing.
And also, Gerrard has a higher defensive stat on Pro Evo than Hargreaves. But you want Gerrard going forward really. I tried Gerrard and Lampard in central midfield, with King/Hargreaves behind and Joe Cole in front, and it didn't work very well for some reason. I do like Beckham on the right side of central midfield though. And another thing - why is Gary Neville so crap? I seem to remember Mills was better than him on Pro Evo 3 or 4 as well, what do Konami have against him?
