"American Beauty"

Just wondering what you all think of American Beauty. I know it's not a recent movie or anything I've just been talking about it with my flatmates and a lot of them think it's rubbish but I really enjoyed it and thought it was a nice little intersection of American life.


I can't be the only one who likes it, surely?

Was that comment in relation to having a job of all things? Is a checkout till operator or shelf stacker somehow something to be proud of? Not part time either before I get the "I'm part time to do uni" whines.

Beyond that it's all crap tainted by viewpoints and such but I do draw the line at watching real things die for kicks.
