I'm struggling to play games and watch videos on my current PC and was just wondering if anyone could reccommend to me what i would need to do to improve watching videos and playing games?

i.e: Graphics, Memory, RAM??

Thanks

Am i right in thinking that all graphics cards are compatiable with any system, or do i need a specific one for my system?

Thanks mate, well done.
However, to me, cheap for a graphics card could mean £130, but for him it could mean £40.

A "fairly cheap" price range, at a guess!

Exactly why I said it's unlikely to happen. I've never had a problem either, but the fact is that static can affect components. You'd have to be quite unlucky, but it can happen - I've seen it.

Hoho, static doesn't affect me. I don't have carpets.

(The Batcave doesn't need carpets.)

I have never earthed myself, I manhandle components in, I handle procesors and memory with little regard to oil, static etc etc.

Components damaged in eight years on pc building at work and my own ones?
