I was going to in the original post, but thought it may be bad taste...
Has there always been this many hurricanes doing so much damage to America and surrounding countries every year, because I don't remember hearing about them before until that one summer where they ended up with 4 or 5 in a row. How is Bush going to fight all his wars if hurricanes cause keep causing $1,000,000,000s worth of damage which each hurricane.
Oh I just read last time there were this many hurricanes in a year was in 1933.

that tsunami probably caused a fair amount of climate upheaval, may be related to that.. couldn't say for sure, meteorology isn't my thing ;)
