I have a single 512mb piece of RAM and a Fx5200 currently sitting in my computer.

They want to be replaced by two 512mb pieces of RAM and a 6800.

How do I do this?

Without any RAM your computer won't run anyway. Or a graphics card unless you have onboard graphics. But honestly, it really is that simple.

For graphics card:
1. Unscrew the screws holding the side panel on.
2. Pull side panel off
3. Unscrew the one screw holding you graphics card
4. Pull graphics card out of slot
5. Plug new graphics card in the same place. (Yes - it's as simple as plugging something in)

For RAM:
1. There will be two clips holding the RAM in. Flick them out of the way
2. Pull RAM out
3. Plug in new RAM
4. Snap the clips down again

And to finish off:
1. Slide the side panel back into place
2. Screw it on.
3. Go!

For the RAM though, why not keep your current RAM and put the new stick into the slot next to it? Then you have double the RAM!

Just press the clips holding the RAM and the one holding the card in down, remove, and push the new RAM/Card in until the clips snap back into place.

You don't need any drivers for the RAM, just get the newest nvidia driver installed and hey presto.

You don't even need to move screws.

Ah. Good. There was me thinking I'd have to actually do something other than move a few screws.

Unless you somehow manage to fudge it all up. Which in all honestly, as long as you've got common sense, should never happen.

Well, without knowing exact parts it's pretty difficult.

As long as you RTFM (I know of someone who installed a card without connecting the power supply, that's the required power supply direct to the card BTW) you'll be pretty fine.
