A loud squealing told me something was wrong. Realise what I did, plugged in. All is fine.

I've had that problem before, and it looked in, and the clips went down as well, but it wasn't. And hence didn't work.

You could also have them in "Channel A DIMM 1" "Channel B DIMM 1" if you wanted.
I'm sure it won't make a hell of alot of difference if it's wrong. But i'd like for it to be the bestest.
