Half-Life 2 release date set?

For those of you awaiting news of the Half Life 2 release date (and who isn't?) it appears that finally your quest is over...
Go and add Friday, November 26th to your calender, as that's the day HL2 is going to be released. The game had its release candidate sent to Vivendi on September 15th, and although there has been no official cry of "Gold!" from the publishers just yet, they have been informing their retail partners of the expected date.
And as our anticipation levels reach stupidly high levels, the first Half-Life 2 review hits today. So is it as good as we all hoped? Well, the UK's PC Gamer magazine gave it a massive 96%. So that's a 'yes' then.
To make sure you get your copy on release day, pre-order Half-Life 2 and you'll get it almost as soon as we do. Now if you'll excuse us for a moment, we're all going to book the day off work

Just got an email from gameplay informing me that the game will be released on DVD only.
I've had this pre-ordered since October 2003.
My order status on Amazon still says something like 'Estimated Delivery Date: 20th September 2003'.

Ive pre ordered hl2 from special reserve and i was just wondering which of the sets would you be getting, since i pre oredered it before they said they were going to do 5 editions of the game. anyone got any ideas?

I'm not quite sure that the Pre-load is complete yet though.
I'll be getting the collectors edition if and when it hits the UK, otherwise the Steam Gold Edition of the game may be something else for to consider, though I proffer having the CD in my hand rather than download it.
