Here we go. I've had a good looksee at the entries over the past week or so, and I've known the winner since it was first posted, sorry. So it was a battle for 2nd and 3rd all the way, and it was close between pb, tnc, JFH and Prophet. I've gone with:

3rd - tnc, Is This Life?

Very atmospheric despite being quite short, which is hard to do. Well done.

2nd - Prophet, Hole In The Head

Liked pretty much everything you've written so far. This is no different. Nice flowing story.

1st - Black Glove, Nailer

I thought for a while about this. Not because it wasn't the best (which it was), but because the Glove won the one before this and I didn't want people to think I was choosing him because he chose mine, and all that. But I don't care, it was the best story by far. Shows imagination I wish I had and inspired use of words.




So there that is. Big hand to Glove.

Want one? But then Crossbob might submit another one that I'll have to trawl through and weep like a babygirl. I can do a top three out of you, Prophet, tnc, pb and the Glovester tonight, but I'd like a leetle more competition.

I'll decide if I haven't got enough at midnight. Well, in the morning, I'll be beered up at midnight, most likely, because Andy Johnson will have beaten us in the League Cup 7-0.

i have submitted mines, and ive improved it.

Added mine now much better then last one not so stupid.

Nearly finished my new one.

I'm still working on mine.

I have time to work on it tomorrow evening, so should be able to get it finished.

Though it's not in the form of a short story, but, well, it tells a story.

I've done something. It's a bit, well, stupid, but I'll post it soon, once I've attempted to "rescue" it from badness.

Bob, it's hard to care about anything you say, really. I don't have to give a reason for setting a topic. But since you seem to want one, take your pick of:
