My local rugby team are having their halloween fundraiser in a few weeks and the theme this year is super heroes and villains.

I need suggestions for male and female super heroes for me and a few friends, I've been browsing the web for a while and have found quite a few ideas but the more info the better for this one I think.

Need ones that I could either hire, make or buy the costume for. So either is someone well known or someone with an easy to make costume.

But I'm open to all the suggestions you guys can give.

Thanks in advance.

I don't care if it's not a superhero, you should still wear it.

The Invisible Man.

Adam West era Batman.

Actually, the Joker would be pretty cool, and quite easy. Nice purple pimp suit, white-up the face, and use lippy for a big smiley face. And dye the hair green.

Fantastic Four in campy blue outfits. Might be tough to turn into The Thing though. If there's someone you don't much like, convince them to wear a shell-suit. During the party throw a lit cigarette at them and yell "Flame up!" voila! The Human Torch.

Thor always looked cool.

But then everyone would expect you to supply the food and drink.

Everyone dress up as wonder-woman.

The public love men in drag and it'll be something to show the children later on in life...

But to make up for it we all went to one of the famous Halloween 'Superfly' parties at The Square, dressed as a groupd of Ainsley Harriots. I worked in a photocopying shop at the time, so made up a load of big laminated Harriot faces with comedy spring eyes. The last time I saw them we were doing some kind of ritualistic dance to destroy them at the end of the night.

I had THE most pathetic fancy dress "party" once. 5 of the 6 people that came were in outfits. There was me in a homemade robot/monkey outfit (with metal legs made from air-conditioning tubing stolen from work), my girlfriend in a school uniform, Snuggly did an uncanny turn as Alan Partridge (complete with his Dad's tiny shorts - very disturbing), his girlfriend at the time as an old lady (because we used to tell her that she was an old lady. Part of her costume was actually dust). And Dave, a.k.a. Mr T...the worst costume ever.

It consisted of thus:
1 x A4 printout of Mr. T's face, held on with elastic.
1 x puffa jacket, worn under a white T-shirt. Muscles, apparently.
1 x medallion.

We sat around doing what we would have done if we weren't in costume.
