One again it seems these people have little common-sense. Buttons and zips scratch things.

My creative touch stays in my jeans pocket. Although that isn't that small.

Well I carry my glasses around in my trouser pocket and they've never been damaged in any way. There's nothing wrong with carrying fragile items in pockets, but you'd have to be pretty stupid (or obese) to manage to sit on them.

I've managed to bend a store card I put in my front jeans pocket so I wouldn't want to have anything with a screen in there

Probably sounds dodgy but meh.

If I bought something that expensive, I'd get a plastic wallet for it to slip into, as I did with my imported mini-disc remote control :D No way was that getting damaged, not when it was immensely difficult and expensive to get hold of.

That's the sort of thing I was thinking of, personally I probably have just stuck it in a small bag for sunglasses as that'd keep it from harm.

But it's over-priced junk anyway.

I can't wait until this miniture craze hits everything else. The thought of a bunch of gadget kids sitting at home with a 4 inch widescreen TV makes up for having all these crappy products shoved down your throat.

I dunno - normal iPod's have duff batteries, these new ones have defective screens, and all have poor sound quality.

The thing is, mp3 players should have the ability to be thrown into a pocket, shoved in a bag and so forth.

They're meant to be devices which you can just pick up and go, for say like jogging or what not.

Durability is probably the only real key issue with the Nano at the moment.
