I know I'll get a torrent of abuse here, but this was just plain weird. Have you ever had a dream that, once reaching a decisive point (such as someone getting arrested, death etc.), you wake up immediately and then want to go back "in"? I recall being awake for a split second (I did open my eyes) before going back to sleep again.

Now, instead of turning into a totally new dream, or better still, sleeping in peace, I get the follow on events "episode" of the last dream, but with things that are slightly different, but nonetheless the consequences of the story occur as they should. I won't write about it, merely because it sounds plain stupid on screen, but it did have a coherent story order of events.

Uh, no matter, back to what you were doing. I was just totally f-ed up there for a while.

I used to have dreams as a kid where i'd find some money or sweets or something, hide it somewhere, and then wake up and wtf where had my money or sweets gone. It got me in a bad mood the rest of the day.

Do you mean things that you know, from your life are there but just...scrambled? It's sort of what I get when I have awsome dreams. It's like i'll be in London and meet someone who I would never meet in London then go somewhere that isn't in London in real life but is in the dream.

I once dreamt I got up and got ready for school, ate my breakfast, cycled there, and then as I went through the gates, I woke up, and was like wtf!?!? It was really annoying because it felt real, and then it was just effort doing it over again.

I've also had what you had, Iccy, and its normally surrounding a scary sort of dream like being chased or something.

Also to note, the majority of my dreams are in black and white. People tell me this isn't right.

I've had a dream in a dream in a dream in a dream in a dream before.

Amazing, but true. I can only remember having one black and white dream, in which I was on the back of a flying dragon, alongside this evil monk guy, with a church below. I was 6... plus, I'd eaten the majority of a chunk of cheese before bed. What a party!

Lately, I've been seeing things (places, events) in my dreams, and then seeing them when I'm awake (deja vus). This is considered normal, but when it happens 3 times a day...

Am I odd?

The weirdest thing happened to me when I was 13...I was having a really bad nightmare - can't remember the details, but I knew in the dream that it wasn't real and I wanted to get out of it.

My eyes opened (and this is the freaky bit), I couldn't move! I frantically tried to move my arms and legs but only my neck would "nod" forward. There was a silhouette (bad spelling) of a hooded guy right in front of me for a couple of seconds.

It wasn't a dream in a dream or anything like that... I've never been so frightened or experienced anything similar since (thankfully).

As far as I can remember the scenario's we're mostly places I'd been, or were going to go to. Obviously there's probably been some stranger ones, but as I said I havent actually dreamt in a fair while.

Used to have them all the time.

One time my brother (who sleep walks) pulled out the printer and he took it to another room and my Mum had to take him back to bed. Apparently he was a Native American and picked up a bow and arrow and was trying to shoot someone (in his dream).

I've had one of those, except with nothing really scary happening. I was in Florida at the time and the first night I was there I woke up and couldn't move. For some reason though, I didn't care, I just thought "Meh, I'll deal with it in the morning" and went back to sleep.
