HERE ARE THE RESULTS OF THIS COMPETITION. I have read ALL the entries!
A lot of entries mentioned things which have generally been discussed before or are in the pipeline. They include:
User Profiles
Polls
Walkthroughs and Game Guides
Highest Scores
Who is currently posting
Splash Plastic (which is too expensive for us to do)
Online Reddies
Logos and Ringtones (see UKphonetones.com)
Genre search for games
Tell a Friend.
It just goes to show how busy we are that we are unable to get many of the above into place. But hey, expenditure is controlled by income (hint).
I liked Darkness' idea about tutorials, and Mantis made the suggestion to have a "Gamesmaster" of the forums based on competitions for high scores.
Cookie Monster wants people to be able to promote their website (we already offer this for Freeola customers) and he also suggests that we have an office pet which is monitored with a web cam (brilliant).
Monkey_with_Attitude suggests a "most played games of the week" counter on UKgames.com.
Freak of the Dark says our logo should "move or something".
Turbonutter reckons we should run Flash games and this is supported by Shaneo who says we should run SR Arena and give prizes to the best players. Turbonutter also tells us that we are lacking on PC game specification of the type you find on the back of the box and Swish extends this to a link under each title.
CDouch is a "man of a thousand ideas", mostly on the button too. He lists: Information on gaming from around the world, more mini sites like UKgt3, kids corner, celebrity visits and better organised release info including more information on unreleased games (to name but a few of his suggestions).
The rules (written by Kendozod) state "exciting and would attract a lot of visitors".

Page:
A page dedicated to the younger generation of children and software/hardware for them, educational and games.
You could put a more childish look to this page of SR.
You could put a more childish look to this page of SR.
Have a page showing the coolest items within your range.
A music page with charts and info.
A page listing all of SR pages with a detailed description beside.
Make the online trolley page a bit more exciting maybe showing a trolley filled with SR good etc?
A SR Fan art page, showing art done by SR users.
A console wars page showing the specs of each console backed up by their stats.
These are my ideas. (not in any order)
1. dull down FOG a bit, make it back into a discussion
2. Create a advertise your web site thing, every day (on fog) a small link above the forum list is a link to a fog memebers site. (changes every day or week)
3. Have a win a domain a day or (something were you win a domain name, could retrict to .co.uk or .co.org only)
4. put something in the background, eventhough white makes it simple and easy to read, it makes it a tad boring as well.
5. If this isn't so already, let HTML be added into a post, so links could be created, or a picture shown
6. With the profiles of members, have a see photo option, so if people wanted they could have a pic them shown, or a pic of something else, like there website banner etc.
(7 and 8 will help the forum server)
7. Delete users after 90 days non-usage
8. Delete pages after 90 days of non-usage (also delete a few pages from the longest record... to help it out as well (i.e. don't let a fourm have more that 10 pages in it)
9. Have a site map page (e.g. UKgames - Nintendo - N64 (these all linked to the relivent places)
10. Buy fututreofgaming.com (or something like that) and redirect it to the FOG forum, so it is easyier to get to here
11. Add a whos on FOG part so we can see who is on at that time
12. Search should find peoples stats as well
13. E-mails should be in stats if they want them up there
14. Also websites in the stats area
15. Put fog.com (e.g.) into search engines as well to get more users
16. make the lost/ not claimed gameadays go up in another competition or something (this is proberly one!)
17. let fog memebers get a redirect address like http://fog-fan-site.fog.com/ (for this you would need to buy fog.com)
18. give speical deals to regualers and better ones to notalbes
19. Sell CD's
20. sell cd books
21. have a hit counter in a forum, so people know how many people have been to there forum (must be a i.p log on so you can count inderviual users)
22. try to make fog a bit more personal by letting people change colours of the forums, to have a 'welcome whoever' at the top of the page
23. change looks of different pages, so ukgames looks different to ukpc
24. give away fonts
25. sell logos and ringtones
26. create your own spiecal reserve internet exploere
27. have reserve e-mail (e.g. [email protected])
28. improve on the sr logo, make it move or something
29. next to someones name habe a 'talk privte' link next to it, so if you want a 1 2 1 chat with them you can
30. have smily faces when :) is typed (like msn and yahoo messanger)
31. Have a sr memebers top 50 site list
32. (if this isn't already) isn't of chossing a game, you can have a gameboy color in game a day
33. make a limt of game a day (e.g. no more than £60, no less than £5)
34. make a sr shop near St. Neots in cambridgeshire
35. have a sr desktop theme/ background
36. create a sr jingel (like ones used on radio shows)
and thats it
