I'm looking for a novel, or a series of novels, that have assassins in them as a sort of central theme. Preferably fictional, fantasy or sci fi in genre, wouldn't be too fussed on real life stuff. I know this is a sort of vague description, but I can't think of a better way to describe it. Anyway, thanks in advance.

Ian Flemming wrote the Bond books, the Broccoli fellow was just the producer on some of the films.

I have fond memories of reading some of Anthony Horowitz's stories when I was younger, but the Alex Rider stuff has never interested me.

High Time to Kill was a good little book

It was on the bond vein and is known as 'James Bond 007' but is by Raymond Benson rather than Broccoli.

I know you didn't really show your opinion as it was a (quite good) joke but the Alex Rider series, I'll confess, are actually quite good.

They get a bit formulaic and they're blatanty a Bond rip-off but there's some good plot twists, gadgets and one-liners. Being a teenager may make the books more appealing but they're not really 'teen-fiction'.

I'm not sure how old you are. If you are under 18 you might enjoy the Alex Rider series by Anthony Horowitz.
