I tried to do this in General CHat, but it seems theyt weren't very helpful. Basically, in one week, it's my birthday and I don't know what I want. I need you to suggest any DVDs that I might want. If you thinking "But what does a guy like J-42 like?" Then don't worry. I have no preference to any genre, but the film has to be a quality one, in other words no "xXx:2".

Go!

Undercover Brother ~ refreshingly funny
The Fresh Prince : Series One ~ only came out this year, if you haven't seen it you make me VERY sad
The Alamo ~ not one of the all-time great battle films but well done. If you know anything about American history then buy it.
Troy ~ a battle epic that I picked up for £8 in Sainsburys
The Last Samurai ~ touching and brilliant, you'll enjoy if you like films, yes, it's that good
The Deer Hunter ~ hardly a new film but momentous if you haven't seen it or don't own it
Jurassic Park 3 ~ an excellent film, simply because the dinosaurs are created well, with no lurid plots of "T-rex in 'Cisco"
Alien ~ still one of the best horror films I've ever seen
The Bounty ~ a very good little 'master and commander' type film, but with a predominantely English cast and a better plot altogether
Lord of the Rings Trilogy ~ an extremely watchable series of films, epic in proportion and length

That's enough to mull over for the time being ...
