I often think about the history of these forums, and how things used to be. That's not to say they've declined in quality over the years, but as with most things, you keep them going long enough and you'll find people complaining that things ain't what they used to be.

Anyway, I got to remembering some of the good times while bored at work today (a regular occurence) and yeah, it might be a bit sad, but some of the memories really did make me smile. UKchatforums.com must be my most visited website ever (still my homepage) and despite it just being a collection of poorly-designed .gif images and text-speak, sometimes it genuinely manages to make me laugh out loud (LOL).

So... in the spirit of one of my Shiznit lists, I want your top UKchatforums.com moments of all time, from throughout history - it can be favourite users, brilliant moments of realisation or just your favourite threads. I'll get us kicked off with a few memories that brightened up my day.

THE BELLDANDY SAGA - I've never had so much fun berating someone over the internet as I did with Belldandy. Probably still floating around somewhere under a newly mysterious (very probably Manga-related) username, Belldandy was NEVER WRONG. Even if he was, he wasn't. And if he really was, then he'd run away and not come out to play, until the next time he was wrong. It came close to bullying at a few points (I used to get his emails) but it was coming from both sides: Goaty, Light, Pandy, myself and others (all anti-war and common sense) versus the one man righteous army of Belldandy.

The Belldandy saga reached a hilarious conclusion, when on one of his many mysterious reappearances under another nick (HALO Fan), he was sussed by the lot of us and nevertheless proceeded to dispute it for several months, despite have all the curt mannerisms and blind flag-wankery that good old Bell had. It stopped being fun when we finally saw a picture of him on Special Observe, then realised our physical name calling was disturbingly prophetic.

There have been others, but none as more fun to bait as Belldandy.

Yeh, I had to change my name.

I didn't realise Quasimodo was a french hunch-back.

I remember when you were off to University to take the exact course I wished I could do at that moment. Now I'm off to University to take something completely different and you're in your career of choice. Utterly uninteresting but I felt like mentioning it.

Thats how I used to remember you for a while until I started reading the forum again. Seems everyone I wasn't too keen on in the past becomes the target for my notable vote.

The whole Notable Rebel Alliance stuff sparks something off in my memory but I can't quite remember if it was one of the stupid things I joined in with. Wouldn't surprise me though, I was always jumping on the band wagon back when I was wasting my time on a regular basis.

Monkey_man being banned for posting a topic title with an image in it was amusing, despite the many others who did it :] Least he was forgiven for his wrong doings.

Kazzaa being banned was something I remember mouthing off about when it happened, can't remember why, was no doubt babbling on about something completely retarded. In general I cringe at how I used to post when I spot a post by me in the archive on here or one of the other forums I post at. Probably why I ended up being banned from here several times myself, in general for swearing - shame the rules aren't as harsh nowadays or many people would be given a nice vacation from here very regularly :]

More recently I've enjoyed reading about the whole Dringo fiasco and the surge of arson related jokes popping up everywhere, also Mr Lover Man Xzibits constant quest for love.

Has to be said most of my memories and favourite posts are well in the past now, but I suppose thats more or less down to me maturing over the years as is expected. Shame really, I want to go back to my old way of winding people up and being an ass. I think several users have that base covered however. I may just return to my classic habit of having TWo CApitals at the beginning of every sentence :]

p.s. OddToe = Quasimodo? Jesus, makes me think of when I found out Icarus was DeltaJava. Amazing to realise that you can read so many posts by someone whose posts you used to read without noticing that they are the same person.

We hire a few people in and go round in a circle.
That way, everybody wins.
