I often think about the history of these forums, and how things used to be. That's not to say they've declined in quality over the years, but as with most things, you keep them going long enough and you'll find people complaining that things ain't what they used to be.

Anyway, I got to remembering some of the good times while bored at work today (a regular occurence) and yeah, it might be a bit sad, but some of the memories really did make me smile. UKchatforums.com must be my most visited website ever (still my homepage) and despite it just being a collection of poorly-designed .gif images and text-speak, sometimes it genuinely manages to make me laugh out loud (LOL).

So... in the spirit of one of my Shiznit lists, I want your top UKchatforums.com moments of all time, from throughout history - it can be favourite users, brilliant moments of realisation or just your favourite threads. I'll get us kicked off with a few memories that brightened up my day.

THE BELLDANDY SAGA - I've never had so much fun berating someone over the internet as I did with Belldandy. Probably still floating around somewhere under a newly mysterious (very probably Manga-related) username, Belldandy was NEVER WRONG. Even if he was, he wasn't. And if he really was, then he'd run away and not come out to play, until the next time he was wrong. It came close to bullying at a few points (I used to get his emails) but it was coming from both sides: Goaty, Light, Pandy, myself and others (all anti-war and common sense) versus the one man righteous army of Belldandy.

The Belldandy saga reached a hilarious conclusion, when on one of his many mysterious reappearances under another nick (HALO Fan), he was sussed by the lot of us and nevertheless proceeded to dispute it for several months, despite have all the curt mannerisms and blind flag-wankery that good old Bell had. It stopped being fun when we finally saw a picture of him on Special Observe, then realised our physical name calling was disturbingly prophetic.

There have been others, but none as more fun to bait as Belldandy.

Just been trawling the archives and it threw up some names that I regretably haven't seen in a long time. Does VenomByte still post somewhere? Mr. Happy too. What happened to him? And Starlight.

Just remembered something else funny from the past. When Grix made a new account with the name Corran_Horn and no one could work out who the hell he was for aaaages. Good for a chortle.

And I found this slice of Shaneo http://ukchatforums.reserve.co.uk/archive/display_messages.php?forumid=416&threadid=32779&offset=40¤tsort=asc . Made me smile when I saw it.

Oh, and to prove that Gaz has been covertly coercing people to vote for him before the Carson was even born: http://ukchatforums.reserve.co.uk/archive/display_messages.php?threadid=31849&forumid=416 :-)

EDIT: Ah! Just remembered the "Train Simulator" affair. When Goaty had been slating MS Train Sim for a few weeks before it was released, only to start poking fun at Grix for picking it as a GAD. It was unbeknownst to him though that Grix had actually colluded with Snuggly to send it to him. Heheh. Excellent prank that one.

Meh, DS sucks at the moment. And will do until online Mario Kart and Animal Crossing.

They say innovation, I see mostly gimmick.

I must say I know nothing about the DS. The PSP is a nice bit of kit, got one import from Japan to impress the work buddies. Tidy bit of gear. I hear a lot of bad press for the DS though. I met a die-hard Ninty mate of mine from school a couple of months back and he was pouring over my PSP, saying stuff about it being loads better than the DS. I was looking for the sarcasm.

Haha it's wonderful to watch. I think he's having some sort of mood swings. At one point he actually said "Nintendo this christmas = boring" and nothing else for a whole topic. In fact, he hasn't made one of his "everything is peachy here's to the future" posts since the whole barn incident got serious.

Why am I on the internet at this time in the morning?

EDIT: More importantly. What the hell is on my radio?

Nintys now consist of Dringo, who is prone to being fickle. One minute, it's "Everything Nintendo do is right and hence I must report it to you, no matter how trival", then it's "You bought a DS? BAD MOVE".
