Anyway, I got to remembering some of the good times while bored at work today (a regular occurence) and yeah, it might be a bit sad, but some of the memories really did make me smile. UKchatforums.com must be my most visited website ever (still my homepage) and despite it just being a collection of poorly-designed .gif images and text-speak, sometimes it genuinely manages to make me laugh out loud (LOL).
So... in the spirit of one of my Shiznit lists, I want your top UKchatforums.com moments of all time, from throughout history - it can be favourite users, brilliant moments of realisation or just your favourite threads. I'll get us kicked off with a few memories that brightened up my day.
THE BELLDANDY SAGA - I've never had so much fun berating someone over the internet as I did with Belldandy. Probably still floating around somewhere under a newly mysterious (very probably Manga-related) username, Belldandy was NEVER WRONG. Even if he was, he wasn't. And if he really was, then he'd run away and not come out to play, until the next time he was wrong. It came close to bullying at a few points (I used to get his emails) but it was coming from both sides: Goaty, Light, Pandy, myself and others (all anti-war and common sense) versus the one man righteous army of Belldandy.
The Belldandy saga reached a hilarious conclusion, when on one of his many mysterious reappearances under another nick (HALO Fan), he was sussed by the lot of us and nevertheless proceeded to dispute it for several months, despite have all the curt mannerisms and blind flag-wankery that good old Bell had. It stopped being fun when we finally saw a picture of him on Special Observe, then realised our physical name calling was disturbingly prophetic.
There have been others, but none as more fun to bait as Belldandy.
> Just my opinion.
I do believe a great many of these disputes sunk down to tedious mud-slinging. I never particularly liked bell either. Some of the claims he made were ridiculous and offensive. To try and save face he would stick behind these half-baked ideas, even when it was clear he was beginning to doubt their validity himself. But you're never going to beat people by slandering their appearance, hobbies, social situation or beliefs. You can only win a dispute with cold hard facts. Something even our 'right honorable' men and women of the countries major political parties, haven't realised yet.

Ah yeah, I'd forgotten that :-) Hadn't he got lost in Legend of Mir of something similar? That spacey planet one or something. Definitely an MMPORG or whatever the acronym.

Indeed. I was thinking of listing that too but I couldn't find any of them :-(

Really?
I thought he'd left an age ago.

I'm all for shouting at people when they're wrong and refuse to admit it, but I view using someone's appearance as an insult incredibly childish. If they did it themselves then surely you don't want to sink to their level?
Just my opinion.
His reaction to our numerous posts was simply a wry smile, I believe. He returned eventually anyway.
Also, anyone remember Meka's WHEN CONSOLES ATTACK? The first ever will always go down as one of my most enjoyable reads on here.

If Ken Clark becomes the new leader then I'd certainly be tempted. {:)
He makes me chuckle.

It's disturbing when someone remains so predictable, innit Snuggly?
Incidentally, I was also gonna take issue with the whole "Light throwing a fit mid thread".
Then I remembered that it's damn near all I ever do these days. Tell you what; I'll limit myself to one vitriol-geyser per thread, then invite whomever the charming and emotionally crippled Daily Mail reader is into a freshly created thread, put here purely for the purposes of my eviscerating 'em.
Either that, or I'll just think "Sod it", and carry on as before...

Hey Bell, glad to see you're still as twatty as you've always been. The only mention you got was one of intense ridicule, but whatever lights your fire, Clancy-boy. And before you say no one was else mentioned, perhaps you might want to read through the other 300 odd posts in the thread.

Hope that makes you feel all warm inside, Bell. It proves nothing. Same old Bell, finding justification in whatever suits your argument. Shame that whole 'Iraq invasion' deal never really panned out, huh? But hey, that's another story.

Not unless there's Japanimation to be watched!
