Hi, I was just wandering from anyone at uni or going there soon what gadgets theyve taken to kill time, in between lectures and drunken madness:)

Im thinking of taking my xbox with one of those small LCD Tvs to play occasionaly when I have an hour or so to kill during the day. Is anyone else taking one or do you think that there wont be a time for a games console and it may simply interfere with things and be 'anti social'.

Cheers:)

Where are you going? If your halls are on campus then it's easy, you just need a computer for porn/games/internet [ YOU DON'T NEED A LAPTOP! :c) ] as using the shared uni comps limits your access to 2/3rds of the above.

Take your Xbox, you'll find its a great way to get to know people. Mention that you have an Xbox, 4 controllers and a 50 inch plasma TV in your room and you'll be the most popular guy in halls.

Between lectures you'll probably go back to your room to play games, or go about with mates. It's all a wonder at first but after a couple of weeks you'll see that it's nothing like you thought.

Oh, on the topic of necessities, take bog roll if you've got communal toilets, there WILL be a time when all the bog roll goes, or you'll just find that the stuff they provide is similar to sandpaper and you'd rather use something that doesn't leave your starfish bleeding.

I'm moving into my flat in 2 days. I'm quite nervous.

I'm taking loads of crap with me but not my guitar yet as I won't have enough room in the car at first.

We share the same principle on this issue.

Ha, you've just made me realise they're the only two objects I really need, I have nothing else in my room that is honestly worth bringing.

Despite what some say, you do need more than one pair of underwear through uni.

Pffffft, you can get 4 days out of each bit of underwear. Then you go commando on the 5th day while you wash.

Do you take your own Utensils (essentials like the Beer opener) and various keepsakes like a pillow or do you just cross your fingers and hope they'll be supplied?
