I can't find the other thread, so here's a new one.

"He wont be around for long

What, is it aids?"

"Do funny, Barry

Oi Pat, get of my foot"

Ahaha, I love this show. I really wish I'd seen the Les Dennis one.

I think Extras was only six episodes long because it was a pilot series.

The BBC wasn't sure on its success after The Office etc

It seems to be a fairly widespread structure across decent British comedy.

Fawlty Towers was two series of six.

Is that the one where Bart goes an lives in some apartment building and finds Tony Hawk and people in the top?

If so that episode sucked. Big time.

I saw a couple of reasonably funny episodes on Sky 1 the other day that I'd never seen before. Certainly better than the majority of new episodes I've watched.

One where Homer was smashing pies in everyone's faces and another....that I can't even remember.

Wasn't that the one with jockeys and magic horse land?

That was when I gave up all hope. That or the Tony Hawk one.
Ithas the ocasional good bits, like when they got locked in prison for hating America but then Homer does something stupid.

" Oh its soooooo hot "
*Homer keeps drinking*
" Must... finish "

Where as that sort of thign used to be funny, they drag the scene on double the length and just make him look an idiot with a more annoying voice. If anyone gets what I mean? Like in an old one where he wouldn't throw away his old sandwhich... it was different then, I think.

It said it all when Coic book guy appeared saying "Worst episode ever"

That's when I washed my hands of the Simpsons, although "Bart the Evengelist" was the moment I finally admitted to myself it had turned dog egg.

It's like having an elderly relative turn up at your house and declare "Sorry sonny, I'll probably crap myself on your sofa", before sitting down for afternoon tea and cake.
