Considering getting this one, have a couple of questions first to ease my troubled mind.
Is it subscription based, like WoW?
Have they sorted out out that awful unwieldy menu system?
Does Xfire work with it yet?

Oops, I've only just read the thread and saw you've already got that advice.
For what it's worth here's my settings:

The game looks good with a few settings sacrificed and it runs flawlessly.
Athlon XP-M @ 2.42GHz (equiv XP3200+++)
1GB RAM
Radeon 9700 Pro

settings-wise: disable dynamic shadows and turn dynamic lighting to low/off for a boost (off if you don't really care about prettier lighting).
512mb RAM = low textures
1GB = medium textures
more than 1GB = high textures.

1GB = medium textures
more than 1GB = high textures.

I need to practice on non-ranked servers first to get the right settings.
Had stuff on high and it chugged and stuttered, turned everything low and it zipped but looked like an 8yr old drew it on an etchasketch.
Once I get a decent balance and have practice at flying things, I'll start earning shinies.
I jumped into a heli, was transported to a flag and took it. My finest moment. Until artillery did rain down upon me and make me dead.
