I doubt he will yet. Still, the tide'll turn eventually. There's no way someone can put in consistantly excellent performances, in a position that there's a lot of talk about, and not get noticed in the end.

I don't know, really. Parker is supposed to be a great professional, and his performances recently have been pretty much flawless to be honest. He's worked under four managers in the past four years - one of which obviously being Mourinho, and we know how he improved Joe Cole - and given his commitment, I think he'll know the best way to develop his game.

I'm coming around to Carrick a lot more now, too. It would be nice to see the two of them get a cap each in the upcoming qualifiers, but I'm not sure if Sven will pick Parker just yet.

Carrick was great on Englands tour of the united states. Scott Parker should be the best choice if he performs for newcastle (unlikely while souness is in charge)

And Carrick was great in the holding role on the US tour. I'd pick Carrick over Gerrard and Lampard. I'd just put ten men out, with those two so called stars on the bench. And I wouldn't use them. Such is my confidence in Carrick.

I don't really get a chance to follow the Bundesliga at all.

Don't know about hargreaves though haven't seen to much of him but he did good in euro 2004. Either way we need a defensive midfielder. what about phil neville??

Carrick is only in the England squad because he's mates with Joe Cole.

Carrick isn't such a gifted tackler, really.

Good passer though.

Hargreaves/Parker.....kind of irrelevant while Carrick is still breathing.
