No idea, never thought of looking.

It just had cool guitar.

Marathon 2 by the way.

And that intro sounds oddly like Halo - alien boarders, female AI...etc.

Yeah, it's an epic story. It's what I had expected the Halo books to be like, but they were far less impressive.

Excellent, will pick it up on amazon.

There's also the Marathon Story from Bungie:

If I was you I wouldn't get First Strike because it kinda ruins some bits in Halo 2, I got the three books over the summer, The Fall of Reach is defo worth a read. It explains how the Spartans came to be, and all the first missions of MC, The Flood is pretty poor, it is just the game story but with some bits you don't see in the game. But First Strike is a must if you want to close the gap between Halo and the sequel.

Despite not liking the Halo game - well, I do, but it's WAY over rated, the story is great, and in Halo 2 they have made (apparantly) the story far more important - i.e, it's interwoven into the very game itself, with much more emphasis.

Blurgghghghg.

Etc.

/End.

Just read the synopsis of that novel - sounds pretty clever, with all the 'time-dilation' and cultural shifts.

heh, will let you know. If you like space-marine novels, I must say that this is the finest one I've read : http://www.scifi.com/sfw/issue56/classic.html

It's not Halo, but it's remarkably similar and what Halo was most probably based on.
