"It is the time of Carson" announced the overwhelming favourite for notability today, as he launched the "Vote Carson" campaign bus, driven by Neil Mellor. The literally millions of fans (dubbed Carsonites in the new edition of the Oxford English Dictionary) screamed as he emerged, his moon-shaped face glinting in the sun.

"I'm the most famous man in the world" said Carson. "It's true, I asked. I deserve the status to go with this."

Scott Carson and Seann 'Stifler' William 'Stifler' Scott joined forces as they unveiled a huge-scale 'Vote Carson' campaign poster that will be draped over the London Eye, and smaller scale versions that are coming to a town near you: http://img262.imageshack.us/my.php?image=carson7rn.jpg

"This is the biggest day of his life." gushed his campaign agent, Edson Buddle. "He feels that now is his time. Did you know in a recent OK! poll, Scott came first when women were asked who was 'The Most Desirable Man In The World?' True story. He beat Brad Pitt."

This is not surprising, seeing as Scott Carson has become a marketing phenomenon. All stores selling sports merchandise report they are sold out of Carson shirts, worldwide.

"People have been coming in, and I've told them he doesn't play for Arsenal, but they buy an Arsenal shirt with Carson on the back all the same. It's crazy." said Arsene Wenger.

The Church are said to be considering asking Carson to be the face of their new campaign to convert people back to religion, after seeing research that suggests the average person on the street would do whatever Scott Carson told them to.

Some of the biggest names in the world have rushed to lend their support to the Vote Carson campagin:

Scott, pictured with his wife earlier ( http://img262.imageshack.us/my.php?image=spies7yo.jpg
),said he was pleased with the reaction so far.

"I intend to be bigger than The Rock!" declared Scott - a bold claim.

When asked for his opinion on the ongoing Scott for notable campaign, Darcy from Neighbours was said to be "uninterested".

Plans for a Scott Carson:Avenger game (developed by EA) and a movie, starrting Nicholas Cage as Scott Carson are said to be 'unconfirmed'.

Vote Scott. You know it makes sense.

Leave it Hedfix, whoever is flavour of the month wins it these days.

There was one Notable Election where I got 22 votes, second place to Goatboy's 33. Granted Goatboy was far more popular in the competiton but I was rapidly becoming accepted and liked in the forum. Hence the mass of votes.

I lost the election. Surely I would win the next one? Well not at all, in fact I got 6 votes... I was no longer flavour of the month. Back in those days first and second place won an election place, during that notable election first place Goatboy won and third place RBS (13 votes) won.

I kicked up such a fuss and made a total fool out of myself.

I've never been accepted by the mass since. I left the General Chat (or Future of gaming forum) and carried on posting in the Nintendo forum and almost every day I have to put up with someone criticising me. Be it for being a fan boy, for my consistant grammatical errors or the fact that I'm a convicted arsonist.

I'll forever miss the days when I was "liked".

And you cannot deny that Stryke is flavour of the month.

Clearly Stryke was going to win anyway, and he deserves it, he's easily been one of the best posters here in the last six months or so.

If only there was a demote from Regular to Newbie vote, Hedfix, I'm pretty sure you'd win in a landslide.

hmmm? Why wasn't i informed of this, or was that last bottle of apple tango a little too saucy and it's fried my memory? I shall get the 5 finest minds of the universe working on this.

Hmmm so Inspector Hedfix is aiming his conspiracy theories at the sports forum this time round. Interesting

I think you'll find the 'vote for Memo' thread's done just that.

Still atleast that was made by someone else other than Memo and wasn't actually trying to get a forum tactical vote going.

Well, it's not, but whatever I say to you isn't going to stop this tirade. No-one in here would've voted for me because of this. No-ones going to vote for someone on the basis of one post.

It's a thinly-veiled 'vote for me' topic.

They're normally about whatever's happening at the time, to be honest. Igor Biscan not getting a new contract, Kawada changing his name from lalakersrule, Robinho acting like a child..I used to do the same thing back in the day, making a joke Vote Guy Pearce thread till I got bored of that.

So you don't find me funny. I'll find a way to deal with that.

Damn right it's tactical voting and I go after it each time it turns up.

Get voted on your own merits not because you can get some forum members to tactically gang together for you.

He's now having a right little to-do over in General Chat. He hasn't been here long enough to remember the Vote Guy Peace stuff, either. Bless.

"Tatical voting!!!11"

For someone who claims to hate notable elections, you've sure been pretty dedicated to this one, Hed.
