Got a new guy writing stuff for the site, an American dude called Chris. He's pretty cool, he likes lists. Don't we all? So enjoy his list of the Top 10 Sci-fi movies of all time, and feel free to disagree vehemently in the comments section so I can totally see how popular I am.
Personally? I've seen two of the top ten. Whoops. I'm quite lame when it comes to Sci-fi. I'm always gonna argue for Jurassic Park to be in any list of top whatevers, just cos it rules.
For Goaty: the most audacious opening shot ever, I cried at Eternal Sunshine, etc etc etc. Your own little paragraph.

err, Aliens is sci-fi/action....

Agreed...however all points about Terminator I & II, The Matrix & The Empire Strikes Back are valid, as I would class them as far superior to many of the films in the list.
Although as opinion is exactly that...then each to their own!

There's being a "beret wearing sheep", and there's rating utter crap like Armageddon above 2001.
Have your own opinion by all means. As soon as you say "Armageddon > 2001: A Space Odyssey" it's worthless IMHO.
If you're talking about the article, perhaps I should have said that the listed movies in my post were MY opinions.
I also find it curious that Chris says that "though Terminator 2 is ostensibly a science fiction film (and a very good one at that), I tend to think of it as more of an action film due to the incredible stunts on display throughout the film"...
...Yet has a war/action movie (Aliens) listed.
*shrug*
I just find it hard to assimilate the 10 movies he chose as one that anyone else would pick as "my list of the Top 10 Science Fiction Films of All Time!" I mean although I said everyone probably has their own opinion, (which Pandemonium missed, clearly) we're not that diverse as a species when it comes to movies. Except for maybe professional film critics, who are just, well, a different species.
That was a good movie, can't remember the title though.
> I haven't seen Wrath of Khan, but First Contact is a great film.
That reminds me, Contact with Jodie Foster. Another great sci-fi movie.

Keep following the beret-wearing sheep then.

I have to laugh, otherwise I'll cry.
