In both, I'd assume!

And amusingly enough, a lot of foreigners get confused with maps looking for a place called Soton, unaware it's an abbreviation!

Wow, I was right about that sort of thing for once!

One of my mates is aiming to study at Southampton Uni next year, so I've heard it mentioned a fair few times, apparently lots of opportunities to get part-time work there!
