In my opinion, xbox360 is the better console, but its not the main seller, thats all cos the ps was the first well known cd using console, with its great graphics (at the time) and with the hype that came with it and then ps2 came out which was good while it lasted, then the xbox came out, with its superior technology, and the ps2 is dominating the consoles because of such a huge hit it is in Asia, cos the majority of the games for ps3 are pathetic games, its unbelievable, and xbox games dont have as many cos they spent more time bringing out better games, example halo. Now FF11 is coming to the 360 i think ps3 has some serious competition, hopefully people will see the superiorness of the xbox :D

It's kind of like you can compare all cars as they all try to do the same job but if you then try comparing all vehicles you relise that the cars arn't as good on water or at flying.

I can understand people having a preferance to a certain console but a few movies and a spec list doesn't give you a true indication of how good it will end up being.

I intend to get both.

I know I will like the 360's controller, the PS3's one is another matter (no doubt there'll be a converter allowing 360 pads to be used on a PS3 anyway).

As far as specs go, they're important when looking at multiformat options, but aside from that they don't mean all that much.

I suppose your right, but since we can't play any of the games, all we have is demo footage and the specs of each console

Why?

Judging a console by it's specs is just wrong, it's the games that are released that make the console what it is, and as they are not even out yet it's silly to say 'this console is better'.

If they all had the same releases then you could compare them like you do PC's but they won't they all try to aim for different people and groups, each are strong in some areas and weak in others.

It's amazing how people get so defensive about consoles you'd swear they actually worked for the different companies under their "hire a retard" scheme.

At least wait until the consoles are actually out before spewing your fanboy juice everywhere.

Regardless of what the Xbox 360 and PS3 will do to each other in terms of competition we all know that they will both destroy the Nintendo Revolution
