Just seen it on BBC2 for the first time.

Hella weird film.

Kinda disturbing, in an odd sort of way. Gonna have to buy it I think and watch it again - try and make sense of it.

Cue Goatboy et al telling you it's a film for "angsty teenagers" and "goths".


But ignore them

It's a good film if you watch it to be entertained and ignore how it tries to be deep and clever.

Bad spelling is one thing - making up words is another! I think you mean "nonsensical". ;-)


And yes, I'd recommend it. Especially as you can get it for under a fiver with free delivery from a number of online retailers. :-)

It's a film I've seen advertised alot and often been tempted by that "Frank the Rabbit" cover looming out at me on the Blockbuster shelves as I peruse through the porn on the opposite aisle

Although I've heard many crits praising it, it's still acclaimed as a "Cult classic", and in my experience "cult" films are tragically bad, so I've never really been compelled to watch it for all the untangling you have to do (as you stated before)

It's the same notion as "The Matrix" trilogy and "Vanilla Sky" work on, a strange dream like, unsensical at times, story that you have to unravel later, confusing you in the beginning (In the case of the Matrix, confusing me constantly up to and passed the end)

So, recommend it ?
