Strangely, both smv and myself were entirely ignorant as to this phenomenon. We'd absolutely never heard of it, despite being informed that it's absolutely everywhere right now.
Personally, the idea of doing maths puzzles is as appealing to me as gouging out my own eyes, so even if I was aware of it I would have just ignored it, but are smv and I the only ones in the world never to have heard of sudoku?

Not quite...

I did, I crushed him with a number 2...
... anyway, I've enjoyed doing some of the "Fiendish" puzzles, before a book was bought and "Challenging" was introduced
The hardest I've ever seen is "Super", which includes letters. Now they really are a Challenge

Yeah, I want crappy clues about old actors to fill my work day, not numbers 1 to 9.
I think the guy that told me how to do it was a crap teacher, because I couldn't do it straight away.

Not partciularly. Usually it just means you have less numbers to start with, so have to make more assumptions and mental permutations as to where numbers could go in the grid, earlier on.

I used to do that. Until I realised that was what I was doing.
:D
Now whenever I'm board, I read books on music related things whilst lying on my bed and listening to my iPod.
Last book? John Peel by Mick Wall. What a legend.

I'm assuming that when you say fiendish you're referring to a grid size? Sounds like a difficulty level in a game.

What's wrong with the good old fashioned hanging around on corners method? :(
