Nope, penguins lay eggs - do any other mammals?

Birds?

Not a chance, penguins have fur. (edit: this was the incorrect bit, they DO have feathers!)

Reptiles?

Anyone know, I can't be bothered to search Google, and other people need to know this sort of thing.

I think monkey is addressing the wrong question.

We shouldn't be asking 'what are penguins?' We should be asking 'WHY are penguins?'

Think about it- they're rubbish. They just sit around in the cold watching airplanes and eating fish. Which would be a valid career path if you liked fish, but not *In The Cold!*
