Yeah I think we can have metal and heavy metal in the same thread really, before we end up breaking down genres into minute little offshoots.

I've already suggested two industrial bands as it is. :P

Kerrang's coverage was rubbish, as was Channel 4's. They seemed to have missed the point entirely and showed all of the worst acts, Him, Feeder, Garbage etc. Nobody wanted to see that, I wanted to see the bands I actually watched there, Meshuggah, Mastodon, In Flames, Killswitch Engage etc.

i think you're wrong.
up until the black album you were right however. everything from Load onwards has failed to do much for me i'm afraid.

in other news: new Lamb of God track is hella sweet.

I saw them briefly on Kerrangs coverage, inbetween them showing all the lame emo bands. Or perhaps they were only showing one, they all look/sound the same. The pit looked insane :P

Earthtone 9 aswell? Cool.

I liked their last album [Pitchshifter's], it was a bit lighter but plenty of greatness was still there.

Their last album is average at best. www.pitchshifter.com and Deviant are ace though.
